Facebooks new design make viral app adoption tank

Facebook has made a new design, and as a amateur Facebook app developer I have notices that it has an impact of number of new users of my app. The number of new users have steadily increased since I made my app, but since the new facebook design was made mandatory for all users the adoption of the app has tanked. This is probaply because a person app’s is more of a privat part of you profile, it is no longer a part of you main profile page.

Any body else have thougts on this isue?

    Well, you’re right – I feel it as a user. The new layout has reduced my usage of applications, and refocused the site on communications. Which is good for FB, but bad for marketing ;)

    But it also makes it more difficult for the user to express their personality on their profile. Does it not? It is one step further away from the myspace format?
